Amanda Holden

Amanda Holden is a well known actress and television presenter in the UK, and has appeared in television shows that include the ITV drama series Wild At Heart, Big Top, The Grimleys, Hearts And Bones as well as being a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

She was born in Bishops Waltham outside of Southampton, but her family moved to nearby Bournemouth when she was 16.

Amanda has been involved in drama since the age of 9, and studied Drama and English Literature at school before going to the Mountview Academy Of Theatre Arts in North London.

First appearing on the game show Blind Date in 1991 as a contestant, Amanda quickly picked up further television work, and she is now a household name in the UK, and in 2009 she was even offered the opportunity of being a guest presenter on The Early Show on CBS.

She became the second wife of comedian Les Dennis in 1995, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2003.

In 2006 Amanda gave birth to a daughter by her fiance Chris Hughes in 2006, and they were married in 2008.

Amanda is a vegetarian and does a lot of work for charity, running the London Marathon in 2008 for the Born Free Foundation.
