Tony Brock was born in Poole in 1954 and became the drummer for Spontaneous Combustion in the early 1970’s.
Spontaneous Combustion lived up to their name, and split up in 1973, after releasing two albums, which were produced by Greg Lake (of Emerson Lake and Palmer), who is also from Poole.
Tony has also played with well known musicians including Rod Stewart, Roy Orbison, Jimmy Barnes and Elton John.
He was introduced to Rod Stewart when his (then) current band, Strider, opened for The Faces. Although Tony went on to join “The Babys”, he was re-introduced to Rod Stewart in 1982 and became a part of the Rod Stewart Group.
At the present time Tony Brock has his own studios and works in engineering and production.
